Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. First-time patients aged between 18 and 50; 2. Patients who underwent ATFL repair (modified Broström procedure under arthroscopy) at the Sixth Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University more than 12 months prior; 3. Patients who have strictly followed the post-operative rehabilitation programme for ATFL repair at the Sixth Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University; 4. Patients for whom the interval between the lateral ankle sprain and the ATFL repair was between 2 and 4 months.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with incomplete follow-up data during hospitalisation; 2. Patients unable to cooperate with postoperative functional assessment; 3. Patients with an absent ATFL; 4. A history of ligament injury and/or surgery in the affected or contralateral ankle; 5. Patients with concomitant neuromuscular injury in the affected limb; 6. Patients with Grade III-IV cartilage damage in the ankle joint.
