Tooth loss in the maxillary sinus area with low residual alveolar bone height

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Age >= 18 years old; 2. Simultaneous implant placement during sinus floor elevation without bone grafting in the maxilla; 3. Preoperative CBCT measurement of residual bone height (RBH): 2-4mm and treated with new techniques or bone chisel method, or 4-6mm and treated with bone chisel method; 4. Complete clinical and radiological data, with a follow-up period of >= 1 year; 5. Informed consent obtained from the patient and compliance with ethical requirements.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Comorbid uncontrolled systemic diseases (such as diabetes, malignant tumors, etc.); 2. Use of antibiotics or receipt of head and neck radiotherapy and chemotherapy within 3 months preoperatively; 3. Presence of mental illness, alcoholism, or smoking more than 10 cigarettes per day; 4. Secondary surgery following implant failure; 5. Presence of maxillary sinusitis, mediastinal conditions, or severe anatomical abnormalities.
