18 Years to 50 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Adult patients aged >=18 years; 2. Diagnosed with periodontitis (recent periodontal examination records required); 3. Requiring orthodontic treatment for malocclusion, aesthetics, or tooth alignment issues, and willing to accept randomized appliance allocation; 4. Committed to completing follow-up visits as required (periodontal examination every 3 months); 5. No systemic diseases; 6. No history of previous orthodontic treatment.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients requiring combined orthodontic-orthognathic surgery due to severe skeletal discrepancies; 2. Inability to maintain standardized oral hygiene or comply with follow-up visits during treatment; 3. Current smoking habit; 4. Presence of systemic diseases; 5. History of previous orthodontic treatment; 6. Other craniofacial conditions (e.g., active dental caries, history of maxillofacial trauma); 7. Use of antibiotics, corticosteroids, or other medications that may affect periodontal status; 8. Pregnant individuals.
