Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients undergoing surgery under general anesthesia; 2. With a history of smoking; 3. Aged >= 65 years; 4. Assessed as ASA class I-III during pre-anesthesia evaluation; 5. Patients voluntarily participate and are able to accurately complete all questionnaire assessments.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Undergoing cardiac surgery or neurosurgery; 2. Previously diagnosed with a psychiatric or psychological disorder; 3. Preoperative MoCA score < 26 or unable to complete baseline cognitive assessment; 4. Use of central nervous system medications before surgery; 5. History of sensory impairment; 6. Preoperative hemoglobin level meeting the criteria for anemia; 7. Current or past alcohol abuse.
