Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Underlying chronic lung disease; 2. Diagnostic criteria for cor pulmonale: Right ventricular enlargement + Pulmonary hypertension (estimated PASP by echocardiography >= 40 mmHg). Compensated stage: TAPSE >= 17 mm (by echocardiography) with no clinical symptoms or signs of right heart failure. Decompensated stage: TAPSE < 17 mm with clinical symptoms and signs of right heart failure.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. History of acute or chronic pulmonary embolism and malignant tumors; 2. Presence of other diseases that may alter right ventricular function, such as rheumatic heart disease, cardiomyopathy, congenital heart disease, etc. 3. Presence of valvular heart disease (especially tricuspid valve disease); 4. Acute exacerbation phase (hospitalized due to infection within the past 4 weeks); 5. Contraindications to cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging or inability to cooperate with the examination (e.g., presence of pacemaker, severe claustrophobia).
