18 Years to 70 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged from 18 to 70 years old; 2. Patients admitted to the Neurosurgical Oncology Department of Shenzhen Second People's Hospital between January 2023 and December 2023; 3. Patients with a standardized diagnosis of pituitary adenoma in accordance with the Chinese Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Pituitary Tumors (2022 Edition); 4. Undergoing neuroendoscopic transsphenoidal pituitary adenomectomy for the first time; 5. Receiving uniform postoperative nasal packing material (absorbable Nasopore); 6. Without severe cardiopulmonary diseases, coagulation disorders or abnormal nasal cavity structures; 7. Postoperative nasal mucosal edema score >= 3 points (assessed by the Lund-Kennedy scoring system).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Allergy to oxymetazoline hydrochloride; 2. Patients requiring secondary surgery due to postoperative cerebrospinal fluid rhinorrhea; 3. History of allergic rhinitis or chronic sinusitis; 4. Pregnant or lactating women; 5. Patients complicated with mental disorders, cognitive impairment and other related diseases; 6. Patients with poor compliance who failed to receive standardized treatment.
