Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age >= 18 years old; 2. Have a dental periodontal treatment record in the dental department (including records of periodontal-related symptoms, diagnosis of periodontitis, scaling, root planing, tooth extraction, etc.); 3. Have a clear record of esophageal-related symptoms, endoscopic examination reports and clinical diagnosis in the gastroenterology department; 4. The medical records are complete, including necessary baseline information.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Age less than 18 years old; 2. The medical records lack key data, making it impossible to accurately group or evaluate; 3. Patients who had the target digestive system diseases before being diagnosed with periodontitis for the first time.

The target digestive system diseases( gastroesophageal reflux disease, esophageal cancer, chronic non-atrophic gastritis, chronic atrophic gastritis, gastric cancer, ulcerative colitis, colon polyps);

Confounding variables (age, gender, smoking, drinking, history of hypertension, history of diabetes);Whether diagnosed with periodontitis , the severity classification of periodontitis and the date of the first diagnosis of periodontal disease;
