Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age >= 18 years; 2. Meets the diagnostic criteria for postherpetic neuralgia (PHN) (i.e., a history of herpes zoster with neuropathic pain symptoms persisting after the rash has healed); 3. Chronic pain duration exceeding 12 months; 4. Clinically diagnosed with moderate to severe chronic pain caused by PHN, with an average pain intensity of >=4 points (assessed by the Visual Analog Scale, VAS) over the past month; 5. Normal cognitive function; voluntarily complies with the trial procedures and relevant regulations and has signed the informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Trigeminal neuralgia, herpes zoster affecting the eyes, ears, face, neck, or hands; 2. Severe vision loss or hearing impairment; 3. Conditions prone to inducing nausea or dizziness, such as cerebral ischemia, vestibular dysfunction, or cholecystitis; 4. Epilepsy, dementia, migraines, or other neurological disorders that may interfere with VR use; 5. History of psychiatric conditions, including depression, generalized anxiety disorder, or schizophrenia.
