Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Inclusion Criteria for Patient Articles (Intervention Group) 1. The author is a patient with a pathologically confirmed malignant tumor. 2. The author has full civil capacity and is able to independently write or dictate the article. 3. The article is a first-person account of the author's personal cancer treatment experience or recovery reflections. 4. Voluntary participation in the study with a signed written informed consent form. 5. The article is between 800 and 2,000 words in length, with authentic content and genuine emotion. 6. The article passes the three-tier review process (medical accuracy review, ethics and privacy review, and content suitability review). Inclusion Criteria for Expert Articles (Control Group) 1. The article is a WeChat Official Account post published by Cancer Research and Prevention between July and September 2026. 2. The article genre is an original research article, review, or editorial/commentary. 3. The article topic is the same as or similar to the disease area covered by the patient articles (e.g., both are breast cancer-related). 4. The article is published in the same push position as the patient articles (i.e., top headline). 5. The article is published within the same calendar month as the patient articles.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Exclusion Criteria for Patient Articles 1. The article is not written by the patient themselves (ghostwritten by a family member or another person without disclosure). 2. The article contains clearly misleading medical information or promotes unapproved therapies. 3. The article contains offensive or defamatory remarks directed at specific healthcare professionals, departments, or hospitals. 4. The patient refuses to sign the informed consent form. 5. The article is excessively short (fewer than 500 words) or consists entirely of trivial narrative without substantive content value. Exclusion Criteria for Expert Articles 1. Articles containing commercial promotions or advertisements. 2. Articles that are purely meeting notices, calls for submissions, editorial board member lists, or other non-academic content. 3. Articles that are deleted within 7 days of publication.
