Intervention Group - Group A (Elderly Individuals with Type 2 Diabetes):50 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic exercise + 30 minutes of resistance training
Intervention Group - Group B (Elderly Individuals with Type 2 Diabetes):25-minute high-intensity interval training + 30-minute resistance training
Intervention Group - Group C (Elderly Individuals with Type 2 Diabetes):4-minute high-intensity interval training + 30-minute resistance training
Health Education Unit (Elderly Individuals with Type 2 Diabetes):Provide health science education to participants, primarily covering scientific knowledge related to diet, exercise, mental health, sle

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged 60–75 years; 2. Diagnosed with type 2 diabetes (according to Chinese diagnostic criteria for elderly T2DM patients: HbA1c >= 6.5%), onset after age 40, disease duration <= 9 years; 3. No regular exercise in the past 3 months; 4. BMI < 30.0 kg/m^2.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Type 1 diabetes; 2. Hypertension (SBP > 180 mmHg or DBP > 110 mmHg); 3. Presence of severe diabetic complications (e.g., proliferative diabetic retinopathy, autonomic or peripheral neuropathy, nephropathy, foot ulcers); 4. Severe cardiovascular disease (current angina pectoris, myocardial infarction within the past 6 months, heart failure, symptomatic peripheral vascular disease); 5. Diseases affecting glucose and lipid metabolism (e.g., hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism); 6. Anemia: hemoglobin levels below WHO standards (HGB < 13 g/dl for males, < 12 g/dl for females); 7. Individuals with recurrent hypoglycemia; 8. History of cardiac surgery within the past 3 years; 9. Severe cerebrovascular disease (stroke, epilepsy) or pulmonary disease (including pulmonary hypertension, asthma, or pulmonary disease requiring corticosteroids or oxygen therapy); 10. Renal disease requiring dialysis or severe hepatic disease; 11. Individuals with neurodegenerative diseases (Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, dementia) or psychiatric disorders (schizophrenia, manic episodes); 12. Individuals with malignant tumors; 13. Individuals with a weight change exceeding 5% of total body weight within the past 3 months; 14. Individuals with physical limitations preventing participation in the exercise program, or those with language/hearing impairments hindering communication (e.g., deafness, hearing loss, visual impairment); 15. Currently participating in another intervention study, or having participated in another clinical drug trial within the past 30 days; 16. Any other medical condition deemed ineligible for the trial by the physician.
