Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Case group: 1. Children diagnosed with epilepsy based on clinical history and electroencephalogram (EEG) examination, in accordance with the ILAE epilepsy diagnostic criteria; 2. Age ranging from 3 to 17 years old; 3. On a regular diet; 4. Family members agreed to participate in the study and signed the informed consent form. Control group: 1. Age ranging from 3 to 17 years old; 2. No clinical seizures of epilepsy; 3. Normal EEG; 4. Signed the informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Those who prefer to eat high-purine foods such as seafood and animal organs; 2. Those who take drugs that interfere with purine metabolism; 3. Those with urinary system diseases and renal dysfunction; 4. Those with serious diseases such as malignant tumors, systemic infections, immune system disorders, blood diseases or liver failure.
