Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age > 18 years; 2. Cough is the sole or primary symptom, with a disease course > 8 weeks; 3. No significant abnormalities on chest CT; 4. FEV1/FVC > 70%, and the percentage of predicted FEV1 > 80%.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Currently smoking or quit smoking for less than 2 years; 2. Pregnant or lactating; 3. History of acute upper respiratory infection within 8 weeks; 4. Oral or inhaled glucocorticoids within 4 weeks; 5. Severe heart failure, severe liver/kidney dysfunction, mental/cognitive impairment, or hearing/communication disorders.
