Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1: Patients with newly diagnosed primary Parkinson's disease (PD) diagnosed by a neurologist at the attending physician level or above, according to the 'Chinese Parkinson's Disease Diagnostic Guidelines' (2016 edition); 2: Hoehn-Yahr (H-Y) stage of 1.0-2.0; 3: aged between 50 and 80 years; 4: have signed the informed consent and are able to cooperate in completing medical history collection, olfactory function assessment, and biological sample collection.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1: Patients with secondary PD caused by drugs, toxins, traumatic brain injury, or cerebrovascular disease 2: individuals with primary olfactory disorders 3: those with oral, pharyngeal, or nasal diseases that may cause olfactory dysfunction 4: those with a history of respiratory infection in the past two weeks 5: idividuals with cognitive or motor impairments 6: patients with liver, kidney, lung, or other visceral dysfunction 7: those with a family history of neurological diseases 8: and patients unable to cooperate with medical history collection, assessment, or biological sample collection.
