50 Years to 90 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age related cataract, ARC 1.Age 50–90 years; 2.Lens opacities classified as LOCS III NC/NO = 2; 3.No evidence of glaucomatous optic neuropathy; 4.No history of intraocular pressure > 21 mmHg; 5.Scheduled for standard phacoemulsification with intraocular lens implantation. Primary Angle-Closure Glaucoma (PACG): 1. Meets the inclusion criteria of ARC; 2. Fundus examination, visual field test, and posterior segment optical coherence tomography (OCT) show glaucomatous optic nerve damage; 3. Gonioscopic observation of angle closure (Schaffer classification grade III or IV); 4. Patients planned for cataract surgery or glaucoma surgery.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Unable or unwilling to provide informed consent; 2.Pregnant or lactating women; 3.History of ocular trauma; 4.Presence of any eye disease other than age-related cataract, primary angle-closure glaucoma, or refractive error—e.g., uveitis, iris neovascularization, lens subluxation/dislocation, macular disorders; 5.Systemic or metabolic diseases such as type 2 diabetes mellitus or hypertension; 6.Underwent systemic or ocular surgery within the previous 6 months.
