Conditions

Cardiac arrest with ventricular fibrillation or pulseless ventricular tachycardia, and ventricular fibrillation or ventricular tachycardia has not been terminated after repeated three traditional defibrillation methods.

Interventions

Eligibility

All
Age
18 Years to No maximum

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age >=18 years old; 2. Out-of-hospital or in-hospital cardiac arrest occurred, and the initial rhythm was confirmed by emergency personnel or recorded by the monitor as ventricular fibrillation ( VF ) or pulseless ventricular tachycardia ( pVT ). 3. Consistent with the definition of refractory defibrillation : After receiving three consecutive standard defibrillations ( about 2 minutes of high-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation after each defibrillation ), the rhythm was still VF / pVT.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Severe thoracic deformities, traumas or skin diseases that affect the placement of electrode patches; 2. Pregnancy; 3. Holds a valid medical order of "Do Not Resuscitate" (DNR).
