Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Individuals aged 18–80 years who have undergone a standard non-contrast chest CT scan for clinical diagnosis or health examination. 2. Individuals who are able and willing to provide a fasting venous blood serum sample for this study. 3. Individuals with complete clinical medical records, from which all planned traditional cardiovascular risk factor information (including age, sex, hypertension, diabetes, smoking history, full lipid profile, serum creatinine, and BMI) can be clearly obtained. 4. Individuals who voluntarily participate in this study and sign a written informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Assessment-Interfering Conditions: History of coronary artery stent implantation or cardiac valve replacement surgery, or poor imaging quality that affects the accurate assessment of vascular calcification by CT. 2. Acute Interfering States: Acute myocardial infarction (onset < 3 months), acute infection (requiring antibiotic or antiviral therapy), or active autoimmune disease (in an active phase). 3. Chronic Severe Diseases: (1) Liver cirrhosis (Child-Pugh class B or C) or acute liver failure. (2) Uncontrolled or advanced active malignancy (except for early-stage tumors that have been radically resected and are under stable follow-up). (3) End-stage renal disease (estimated glomerular filtration rate, eGFR < 15 mL/min/1.73m² or receiving maintenance dialysis). 4. Special Physiological Status: Pregnant or lactating women. 5. Other: Any other condition deemed by the investigator as unsuitable for participation in this study.
