Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Inclusion criteria for elderly subjects with confirmed sarcopenia (1) Subjects gave informed consent and volunteered to participate in this study; (2) Meet the diagnostic criteria for confirmed sarcopenia in Asian Working Group for Sarcopenia: 2019 Consensus Update on Sarcopenia Diagnosis and Treatment: satisfy ? and ?/? 1) Dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry extremity skeletal muscle mass (ASM): =12s or Short Physical Performance battery =12s (3) Age over 60 years old; (4) Being in a clear state of mind and able to cooperate in completing a series of assessments and tests. 3. Inclusion criteria for healthy elderly subjects (1) Subjects gave informed consent and participated in this study voluntarily; (2) Not meeting the diagnostic criteria for possible and confirmed diagnosis of sarcopenia in Asian Working Group for Sarcopenia: 2019 Consensus Update on Sarcopenia Diagnosis and Treatment; (3) Be 60 years of age or older; (4) be mentally alert and cooperative in completing a series of assessments and tests.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Inability to stand under a skullcap as required by the experimental paradigm; 2. Suffering from neurological disorders (e.g., central nerve damage such as cerebral hemorrhage and cerebral infarction; 2. peripheral nerve damage such as radial nerve and median nerve); 3. Cognitive impairment (based on MMSE score, illiterate <= 17 points, elementary school <= 20 points, middle school and above <= 24 points) or inability to communicate properly; 4. History of hip or knee replacement that affects standing; 5. Concurrent participation in other similar research programs.
