Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age >= 65 years old, ASA grade II-III; 2. Unilateral total hip/knee arthroplasty is planned under subarachnoid anesthesia; 3. Normal spinal canal anatomy (L3-L4 intervertebral space width >= 0.5 cm), confirmed by lumbar X-ray; 4. Mild abnormal liver and kidney function can be included (ALT/AST <= 2 times the normal value, serum creatinine <= 178 µmol/L, urea nitrogen <= 14.3 mmol/L); 5. Clear consciousness and able to cooperate with clinical assessments such as anesthesia plane and pain score; 6. Sign the informed consent form and voluntarily participate in this study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Age 30 kg/m^2, combined with mental illness or cognitive impairment who cannot cooperate with the assessment; 6. Those who have a history of lumbar spine surgery, spinal canal tumors, or neurological diseases.
