Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Inclusion Criteria: 1. Age 18-75 years, residents of western Guangdong or have lived there for >=5 years; 2. Informed consent obtained and written agreement signed; 3. Able to cooperate with completing questionnaires and physical examinations.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Exclusion Criteria: 1. Diagnosed with MetS (CDS criteria); 2. Presence of severe illnesses (cancer, end-stage renal disease, heart failure NYHA class III-IV), with expected life expectancy <5 years (e.g., advanced diseases); 3. Long-term use of glucocorticoids/immunosuppressants; 4. History of major surgery, trauma, or acute infectious disease in the past 6 months; 5. Pregnant or breastfeeding women; 6. Known endocrine diseases causing secondary obesity (e.g., Cushing's syndrome, uncontrolled hypothyroidism); 7. Inability to complete follow-up or having communication barriers; 8. Plans to move out of the western Guangdong region within 3 years.
