Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Age >=18 years; 2.Adult patients with spontaneous pneumothorax diagnosed and treated at this hospital between January 1, 2015, and December 31, 2024; 3.Medical records traceable to the initial treatment strategy (early surgery or stepwise treatment strategy); 4.Available main outcome information (at least including admission/discharge dates, chest tube insertion/removal information or clear non-insertion records, and surgery status and time); 5.Prior written informed consent for biological sample donation and agreement to use clinical data for medical research;

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Secondary pneumothorax, traumatic pneumothorax, mechanical ventilation-related pneumothorax; 2.Age <18 years; 3.Severe underlying diseases (such as heart failure, liver/kidney failure) that prevent patients from tolerating surgery; 4.Critical missing data that prevents determining the main exposure or primary endpoint;
