Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Case group 1.Meet the diagnostic criteria for adenoid hypertrophy in the 2024 "Clinical Practice Guidelines for Traditional Chinese Medicine in Children with Adenoid Hypertrophy"; 2.Aged 3 to 10 years; any gender; have lived in Guangdong for =1 year; 3.Illness duration =1 month, with no history of upper or lower respiratory tract infection in the past month; 4.The child and their parents provide informed consent, can understand the questionnaire content, and cooperate with the survey; Control Group 1. Meets the diagnostic criteria for adenoid hypertrophy according to the 2024 "Clinical Practice Guidelines for Chinese Medicine in Pediatric Adenoid Hypertrophy". 2. Age 3 to 10 years; any gender; living in Guangdong for =1 year. 3. Disease course =1 month, with no history of upper or lower respiratory tract infection in the past month. 4. Children and their parents provide informed consent, can understand the questionnaire content, and cooperate with the survey.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Case group 1.History of adenoidectomy or tonsillectomy; 2.Severe sleep disturbances or significant anatomical changes, such as nasal septum deviation; 3.Presence of serious primary diseases affecting the cardiovascular, liver, kidney, hematopoietic, immune systems, or mental disorders; 4.Lack of cooperation from the child or guardian; Control Group 1. Patients who visit the doctor mainly because of ‘snoring during sleep, mouth breathing,’ etc.; 2. Those with a history of AH who have recovered after treatment; 3. Patients with severe primary diseases of the cardiovascular, liver, kidney, hematopoietic, immune systems, or psychiatric disorders; 4. Children or guardians who are uncooperative.
