Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged 8–10 years (grades 3–4 of primary school); 2. Classified as obese according to the Screening for Overweight and Obesity in School-age Children and Adolescents (WS/T 586); 3. Daily water intake < 1000 mL.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Diagnosed with oral, liver, kidney, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, chronic urinary tract infection, autoimmune diseases, anemia, or thyroid dysfunction by a Class-II or higher hospital; 2. Long-term use of oral diuretics, glucocorticoids, or other similar medications; 3. Participation in other clinical trials within the past 3 months.
