Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age 18–65 years; 2. Scheduled for laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG); 3. ASA physical status I–III; 4. Able to understand the study and provide informed consent;

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. History of gastrointestinal surgery or significant gastrointestinal dysfunction; 2. Severe cardiac, pulmonary, hepatic, or renal dysfunction; 3. Allergy to chewing gum components or inability to chew gum; 4. Neurological or endocrine disorders affecting gastrointestinal function; 5. Postoperative ICU admission or major complications;
