Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.Age >=18 years; 2.Preoperative pathological confirmation of rectal adenocarcinoma by colonoscopic biopsy; 3.Scheduled to undergo radical surgical resection for rectal cancer at a participating center; 4.Has routinely completed a preoperative pelvic MRI examination that includes the synthetic MRI sequence; 5.Voluntarily participates in the study and provides written informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Previous history of pelvic radiotherapy or surgery; 2.Presence of any surgical contraindication; 3.Presence of any MRI contraindication (e.g., cardiac pacemaker, ferromagnetic implants, claustrophobia); 4.Incomplete MRI sequences or poor image quality that precludes diagnostic evaluation; 5.Absence of microsatellite instability (MSI) test results (lack of mismatch repair protein testing) or unknown peritumoral deposits (TDs) status.
