Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age 2–18 years 2. ASA Physical Status I–II 3. Pediatric patients scheduled for elective surgery under general anesthesia.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Failure to obtain informed consent from the legal guardian or the patient. 2. Inability to maintain the right lateral decubitus (RLD) position. 3. Anatomical abnormalities of the upper gastrointestinal tract or a history of abdominal surgery that interferes with ultrasound examination (e.g., prior esophageal or gastric surgery). 4. Failure to meet preoperative fasting and fluid restriction standards.
