Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria for children: 1. Age 6 years or younger; 2. First visit to our hospital with a formal diagnosis of ASD; 3. No previous diagnosis of ASD outside our hospital; 4. No prior formal early intervention related to ASD at any institution; 5. Resident in the urban area of Guangzhou. Inclusion criteria for parents: 1. Responsible for primary care of the child (continuous care period = 6 months); 2. Parents’ age between 20 and 65 years; 3. Written consent and voluntary participation from both parents.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.The child was diagnosed outside the hospital before enrollment; 2.Rehabilitation interventions had already begun before the child was enrolled.
