18 Years to 35 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Adults aged 18–35, either in the general population or currently enrolled in education; 2. Healthy individuals: no history of ankle sprains or lower limb sports injuries; 3. Individuals with chronic ankle instability: meeting the criteria for chronic ankle instability (CAI) and having a history of recurrent ankle instability and sprains; 4. Regular exercise habits and ability to cooperate fully with the entire testing procedure; 5. Voluntary participation and signing of an informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Cardiovascular disease or severe neurological disorders; 2. Acute injuries to the muscles or bones of the lower limbs, or a history of surgery in these areas; 3. Contraindications for MRI or EEG testing, such as metal implants, claustrophobia or skin allergies; 4. Having undergone specialist neurological rehabilitation or electrical stimulation therapy within the last three months; 5. Inability to cooperate with the testing or poor compliance.
