Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Age >= 40 years; 2. Meets the clinical diagnostic criteria for KOA as defined by the American College of Rheumatology (ACR); 3. Preoperative imaging data (knee X-ray) are complete; 4. Qualified joint cartilage or synovial tissue samples were retained during the surgery (frozen at -80°C or stored in RNAlater);
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Secondary KOA (such as rheumatoid arthritis, post-traumatic arthritis, gouty arthritis, etc.); 2. Complicated with other severe systemic diseases (such as cancer, severe heart failure); 3. The RNA of the tissue samples is severely degraded and of poor quality; 4. The follow-up data lack key information.
