Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Healthcare professionals: 1. Registered and currently employed healthcare professionals in the gastrointestinal surgery/Colorectal Surgery/General Surgery department of a tertiary-grade A oncology hospital; 2. With more than one year of clinical work experience; 3. Who provide informed consent and voluntarily agree to participate in the study. Patients: 1. Aged >=18 years; 2. With a pathological diagnosis of colorectal cancer; 3. Who undergo a laparohysterectomy with perineal anastomosis or a permanent colostomy; 4. Postoperative time >= 3 months; 5. With adequate cognitive, behavioral, and communication ability; 6. Who provide informed consent and voluntarily participate in the study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Healthcare professionals: 1. Those who are on maternity leave during the survey period; 2. Those who are absent from their position for more than three months during the survey period due to external training, further study, illness, personal leave, or other reasons. Patients: 1. Patients with contraindications to permanent colostomy irrigation, including: 2. Active bowel diseases: inflammatory bowel disease, active diverticular disease, irritable bowel syndrome, Crohn’s disease, or persistent diarrhea. 3. Stoma-related complications: fistula formation, parastomal hernia, stoma prolapse, or stoma stenosis. 4. Other conditions: ongoing radiotherapy or chemotherapy, or severe cardiovascular insufficiency.
