Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients admitted to the Gastroenterology Ward of Chaoyang Hospital who can be diagnosed as having moderately severe acute pancreatitis (MSAP) in accordance with the 2012 Revised Atlanta Classification (RAC). These patients receive enteral nutrition (EN) as required and have good compliance. In line with the recommendations of the 2020 Clinical Nutrition Guidelines by the European Society for Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism (ESPEN) and the 2021 Chinese Guidelines for Acute Pancreatitis: Energy requirement: Resting Energy Expenditure (REE) can be estimated at 18-20 kcal•kg?¹•d?¹ (calculated based on actual body weight), and Total Energy Expenditure (TEE) for individual patients is further estimated by adding an activity or stress coefficient. Protein intake: It should be based on 1.2-1.5 g•kg?¹•d?¹. The above target nutritional requirements should be achieved within 4-7 days. 2.Atlanta Classification: (1) Mild Acute Pancreatitis (MAP): Acute pancreatitis (AP) without organ failure, local complications, or systemic complications; the mortality rate is extremely low. (2) Moderately Severe Acute Pancreatitis (MSAP): Acute pancreatitis (AP) accompanied by transient organ failure (within 48 hours), or local complications, or systemic complications; the mortality rate is 48 hours); the mortality rate ranges from 36% to 50%.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with severe diseases of the heart, liver, lungs, kidneys, blood system, endocrine system, or nervous system, as well as those with mental disorders; patients with severe infections in sites such as the respiratory tract, digestive tract, or urinary system. 2.Pregnant women and lactating women. 3.Patients who cannot tolerate enteral nutrition (EN) and develop adverse complications.
