Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Study 1: Characteristics of Brain Functional Network Connectivity and Corticomuscular Control in Unilateral CAI Patients During Multisensory Perturbation Tasks 1. Inclusion Criteria for Unilateral CAI (1) Aged 18-30 years, right-side dominance; (2) At least one severe right ankle sprain occurred more than 12 months ago (no history of left ankle sprain), causing pain, swelling, etc., and inability to participate in sports for at least three weeks after injury; (3) At least 2 episodes of "giving way" and/or recurrent sprains in the injured ankle within the past 6 months, with subjective ankle instability; (4) CAIT score = 3 years; practicing >= 3 times per week, >= 30 minutes per session. 2. Inclusion Criteria for Bilateral CAI (1) Aged 18-30 years, right-side dominance; (2) At least one severe sprain in each ankle occurred more than 12 months ago, causing pain, swelling, etc., and inability to participate in sports for at least three weeks after injury; (3) At least 2 episodes of "giving way" and/or recurrent sprains in each ankle within the past 6 months, with subjective ankle instability; (4) CAIT score = 3 years; practicing >= 3 times per week, >= 30 minutes per session. 3. Inclusion Criteria for Healthy Control Group (1) Aged 18-30 years, right-side dominance; (2) No history of ankle sprains; (3) CAIT score >= 28, indicating good ankle function and no instability. (4) Regular exercise habit for >= 3 years; practicing >= 3 times per week, >= 30 minutes per session. Inclusion Criteria for Tai Chi Practitioners (1) Aged 18-30 years, right-side dominance; (2) Tai Chi practice for >= 3 years; practicing >= 3 times per week, >= 30 minutes per session; (3) No history of ankle sprains; (4) CAIT score >= 28, indicating good ankle function and no instability. 2. Inclusion Criteria for Healthy Control Group (1) Aged 18-30 years, right-side dominance; (2) No prior Tai Chi practice; regular exercise habit for >= 3 years; practicing >= 3 times per week, >= 30 minutes per session; (3) No history of ankle sprains; (4) CAIT score >= 28, indicating good ankle function and no instability. Study 3: Effects of Tai Chi Training on Bilateral Sensorimotor Function, Brain Functional Network Connectivity, and Corticomuscular Control Characteristics in Unilateral CAI Patients 1. Inclusion Criteria for Unilateral CAI (1) Aged 18-30 years, right-side dominance; (2) At least one severe right ankle sprain occurred more than 12 months ago (no history of left ankle sprain), causing pain, swelling, etc., and inability to participate in sports for at least three weeks after injury; (3) At least 2 episodes of "giving way" and/or recurrent sprains in the injured ankle within the past 6 months, with subjective ankle instability; (4) CAIT score = 3 years; practicing >= 3 times per week, >= 30 minutes per session. 2. Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Acute injury occurred on either side of the lower limbs within the past three months; 2. Double lower limb fractures and surgical history; 3. Having neuromusculoskeletal system disorders; 4. Have neurological problems, etc.
