Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Age >= 60 years 2.American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status classification I-III 3.Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) score >= 24. 4.Scheduled for elective spinal surgery under general anesthesia
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Refusal to provide written informed consent 2.History of delirium, severe cognitive impairment, or recent use of psychoactive medications (affecting the central nervous system) 3.Severe cardiovascular or cerebrovascular disease 4.Severe hepatic or renal dysfunction 5.Severe respiratory disease 6.History of glaucoma 7.Inadequately treated or untreated hyperthyroidism 8.Known allergy or hypersensitivity to esketamine 9.Severe visual or hearing impairment, or any other condition precluding effective communication with the assessor
