Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age >= 18 years old; 2. Meet the diagnostic criteria for severe burns: The total burn area is 31% - 50% of total body surface area (TBSA), or the area of third-degree burns is 11% - 20% of TBSA, or the total area or the area of second-degree burns do not fall within the above ranges, but there is already shock, inhalation injury, or multiple injuries. 3. Admission within 24 hours after injury.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Suffering from severe oral diseases (cavities, periodontal disease, oral abscesses, oral mucosal diseases, oral cancer); 2. Already had infectious diseases upon admission, including but not limited to wound infections from burns, pneumonia, urinary tract infections, etc.; 3. Patients with autoimmune diseases, immunodeficiency diseases or low immune function; 4. Had continuous use of antibiotics or hormones within 48 hours before admission.
