Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age >= 60 years. 2. Patients scheduled to undergo elective coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Emergency or urgent surgery. 2. Concurrent participation in other randomized controlled clinical trials. 3. Receipt of lung or heart transplantation, or implantation of a ventricular assist device. 4. Severe hepatic or renal failure, or other end-stage diseases. 5. Pre-existing severe neurological or psychiatric disorders, or a definite history of cognitive impairment, including but not limited to: severe cerebrovascular disease (such as massive cerebral infarction or intracerebral hemorrhage), epilepsy, preoperative delirium, dementia/Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, dementia with Lewy bodies, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and major depression. 6. Severe hearing impairment, severe visual impairment, language communication disorders, or marked intolerance to auditory stimulation, resulting in inability to complete EEG tasks. 7. Other medical history, such as a history of general anesthesia within the past 30 days, myocardial infarction within the past 30 days, or malignant hyperthermia.
