18 Years to 60 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Obese patients: 1. Age >= 18 years; 2. Body Mass Index (BMI) >= 28 kg/m²; 3. Normal mental and cognitive status, able to complete basic communication and cooperate with the investigation; 4. Voluntary participation with signed informed consent; 5. Complete and comprehensive clinical data. Normal weight healthy individuals: 1. Age >= 18 years; 2. Body Mass Index (BMI) 18.5-23.9 kg/m²; 3. Normal mental and cognitive status, able to complete basic communication and cooperate with the investigation; 4. Voluntary participation with signed informed consent; 5. Complete and comprehensive clinical data.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Obese patients: 1. Obesity caused by disease (pathological obesity); 2. Suffering from diarrhea, diabetes, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, or other infectious diseases; 3. Severe liver dysfunction or chronic kidney disease; 4. Pregnancy or lactation; 5. Complicated with acute infectious diseases, severe cardiovascular or cerebrovascular diseases; 6. Received radiotherapy, chemotherapy, or surgery; 7. Had taken any antibiotics, steroid hormones, Chinese herbal medicine (including oral, intramuscular, or intravenous administration) or probiotics (including yoghurt in daily life) within four weeks before treatment; 8. Incomplete data or lost to follow-up. Normal weight healthy individuals: 1. Emaciation caused by disease; 2. Suffering from diarrhea, diabetes, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, or other infectious diseases; 3. Severe liver dysfunction or chronic kidney disease; 4. Pregnancy or lactation; 5. Complicated with acute infectious diseases, severe cardiovascular or cerebrovascular diseases; 6. Received radiotherapy, chemotherapy, or surgery; 7. Incomplete data or lost to follow-up.
