Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Admitted to the Intensive Care Units (ICUs) of West China Hospital and West China Tianfu Hospital, Sichuan University; 2. Age >= 18 years; 3. Willing to participate in the study and provision of written informed consent; 4. Expected ICU stay >= 72 hours.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. With severe cognitive impairment or dementia prior to admission; 2. With a history of head trauma, intracranial surgery, or other conditions that preclude safe electrode placement; 3. Pregnant women; 4. With significant allergic reactions to adhesives or other materials used to fix the electrodes; 5. Individuals who request to withdraw from the study for any reason.
