Interventions

Buccal multi-flex spring orthodontic appliance set:Growing children with skeletal Class III malocclusion were treated with a buccal multiloop appliance.
The traction device assembly in front of the mask:Growing children with skeletal Class III malocclusion were treated with a facial mask (maxillary protraction) appliance.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Mixed dentition stage 2. First permanent molars and maxillary central incisors had erupted 3. Aged between 7 and 11 years 4. Anterior crossbite with Class III molar relationship 5. Pretreatment Wits appraisal of -2.0 mm or less

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Systemic diseases affecting normal growth and development in children 2. Dental morphological abnormalities 3. Periodontal disease 4. Signs and symptoms of temporomandibular joint disorders
