Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion Criteria: 1. Male or female patients aged>=18 years old at the index date, AND 2. Patients with a diagnosis of oHCM during the identification period will be included if they meet any of the following criteria: At least 2 medical claims for oHCM, recorded >= 30 days apart, or One diagnosis of HCM plus one diagnosis of oHCM>=30 days apart Diagnosis of oHCM: Identified based on the term "oHCM" in Chinese diagnostic records or via International Classification of Diseases (ICD), Tenth Revision/Eleven Revision, Clinical Modification diagnosis codes (ICD-10-CM: I42.1; ICD-11-CM: BC43.12) Diagnosis of HCM: Based on the term "HCM" in Chinese diagnostic records or via ICD-10-CM code I42.2 or ICD-11-CM code BC42.1Z 3. Patients with at least one recorded inpatient or outpatient visit prior to the index date (i.e., during the baseline period) .

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion Criteria: 1. Patients with diseases that mimic HCM including: Malformation syndrome (e.g., Noonan syndrome, Costello syndrome, LEOPARD syndrome) Fabry disease Amyloidosis Glycogen storage disease (e.g., Danon disease, Pompe disease, PRKAG2 cardiac syndrome) Mitochondrial disorders Friedreich ataxia and hereditary hemochromatosis 2. Patients with a record of participation in an interventional clinical trial during the entire database period

Treatment patterns during the study period;Incidence rate for each type of HRU, including hospitalizations, emergency department (ED) visits, and outpatient visits;Length of hospitalization;Total and breakdown costs per encounter type (i.e., hospitalizations, ED visits, outpatient visits), depending on data availability;Total and breakdown costs of prescriptions drugs, procedures, laboratory and auxiliary examinations, depending on data availability ;Incidence rates and costs of event-specific healthcare intervention for AF, HF, deep vein thrombosis (DVT)/pulmonary embolism (PE), stroke, left ventricular systolic dysfunction (LVSD), and myocardial infarction (MI)-related hospitalization, as well as syncope and stress cardiomyopathy-related healthcare intervention including ED visit or hospitalization, depending on data availability;Hospitalization cost associated with an admission resulting in in-hospital death;Hospitalization cost per septal reduction therapy (SRT) admission, depending on data availability;Time to the following clinical outcomes, including: SCD, cardiovascular death, all-cause death, SRT, device implantation, heart transplantation, cardiac resynchronization therapy, and pulmonary vein ablation ;Time to first occurrence of the following clinical events among patients without a history of the event in the baseline period, including: AF, HF, DVT/PE, stroke, LVSD, and MI. ;Changes in New York Heart Association (NYHA) functional class during the study period compared with baseline ;HRU and medical costs in the baseline period;
