Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.Baseline age>= 18 years. 2.Confirmed free of prediabetes (per ADA criteria) and diabetes via laboratory testing at baseline physical examination. 3.Complete BIA measurement data obtained using the same model of equipment at baseline physical examination. 4.At least one laboratory test result for prediabetes diagnosis (fasting plasma glucose, OGTT 2-hour plasma glucose, or HbA1c) available at baseline physical examination. 5.At least one follow-up physical examination record, with an interval of >=1 year from the baseline examination. 6.At least one laboratory test result for prediabetes diagnosis (fasting plasma glucose, OGTT 2-hour plasma glucose, or HbA1c) available at the follow-up physical examination.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Confirmed prediabetes or diabetes at baseline. 2.Presence of severe cardiac, hepatic, or renal insufficiency (e.g., NYHA functional class III-IV), active malignant tumors, or severe thyroid dysfunction, or other diseases that may significantly affect body composition or metabolism. 3.Female subjects who are pregnant or lactating at baseline or during follow-up. 4.Missing BIA data, missing key laboratory data, or obviously erroneous records. 5.Subjects with contraindications to BIA measurement due to medical reasons such as implanted cardiac pacemakers, metal joints, etc. 6.All follow-up data are unavailable to determine prediabetes status.
