Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Children aged 4–10 years in the primary or mixed dentition stage, with good overall health and no severe systemic diseases; 2. Premature loss of the first or second primary molar with the permanent successor at a developmental stage earlier than Nolla stage 7 (tooth surface covered by bone), and an edentulous space >=3 mm; 3. No obvious inclination or displacement of adjacent teeth; 4. At least one stable adjacent tooth (mobility =5 minutes); 7. Signed informed consent from the child's parent or legal guardian with willingness to attend regular follow-up visits.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. A known history of allergy to resin materials; 2. Ongoing orthodontic treatment; 3. Uncorrected severe oral habits (such as tongue thrusting or thumb sucking); 4. Extensive caries in adjacent teeth that has not been fully treated; 5. Active soft tissue inflammation in the edentulous area.
