18 Years to 70 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Aged between 18 and 70 years;(2) Differentiated thyroid carcinoma;(3) Underwent total thyroidectomy plus bilateral central lymph node dissection (level VI). Lateral neck lymph node dissection (levels II, III, IV and V) was performed only if FNAB confirmed metastasis.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) History of neck surgery, including surgery on the esophagus, thyroid, parathyroid glands (PG), and larynx;(2) Preoperative evaluation showing abnormal morphology or function of the parathyroid glands (PG); (3) Refusal to participate in this study;(4) Patients undergoing endoscopic thyroid surgery.
