Chronic renal failure in the uremic stage

Interventions

Cutting group:Make an incision at the exit of the tunnel.
Puncture group:No incision is made at the exit of the tunnel. The tunnel needle directly penetrates the skin.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age >= 16 years old; 2. According to the KDIGO guidelines, diagnosed as patients in the uremic stage of chronic renal failure (CKD stage 5) with complete clinical data; 3. Patients who visited Shandong University Qilu Hospital (Qingdao) from July 2025 to July 2027 and underwent peritoneal dialysis catheterization.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. There may be skin damage such as eczema, ulcers, and scars in the tunnel area; 2. More than 20% of the cases lack relevant medical records; 3. Patients who underwent non-initial peritoneal dialysis catheterization (re-catheterization after infection); 4. Patients undergoing peritoneal dialysis after kidney transplantation failure
