Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: The clinical diagnosis of ET requires the simultaneous fulfillment of the following three conditions: 1. Motor tremors in both upper limbs, accompanied or not by tremors in other parts of the body (such as the lower limbs, head, face and mouth, or voice); 2. No other neurological signs, such as dystonia, ataxia, Parkinson's syndrome, etc.; 3. The disease duration exceeds 3 years. ET variant: In addition to the tremor characteristics of ET mentioned above, it also has other neurological signs of uncertain clinical significance, such as tandem gait disorder, suspected dystonic postures, mild memory impairment, etc.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. History of long-term medication use; 2. Isolated focal tremor (such as isolated voice tremor, isolated head tremor, primary palatal muscle tremor, etc.); 3. Isolated task or position-specific tremor (such as primary writing spasm, task-specific tremor of hands or mouth, golfers with hand tremor, etc.); 4. Standing tremor with a frequency > 12Hz; 5. Functional (psychogenic) tremor; 6. Tremor syndrome accompanied by obvious other signs; 7. Taking antibiotics or consuming alcohol and alcoholic foods or beverages within 7 days.
