Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. All patients meet the diagnostic criteria for hypertension as outlined in the 2018 Revision of the Chinese Guidelines for the Prevention and Treatment of Hypertension and are diagnosed with essential hypertension; 2. Aged 18 to 85 years; 3. Have complete clinical data.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients with secondary hypertension; 2. Patients complicated with severe arrhythmias (e.g., atrial fibrillation/flutter, ventricular fibrillation/flutter), heart failure (NYHA class III–IV), severe valvular heart disease, or cardiomyopathy; 3. Patients who have experienced an acute coronary syndrome within the past 3 months; 4. Patients complicated with diabetes mellitus (type 1 or type 2); 5. Patients with autoimmune diseases, malignant tumors, or active infections; 6. Patients with severe hepatic or renal dysfunction ; 7. Patients who have taken medications within 1 month prior to enrollment that may significantly affect ET-1 or sICAM-1 levels and are not part of routine antihypertensive therapy (e.g., systemic glucocorticoids, immunosuppressants); 8. Pregnant or breastfeeding women.
