Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Inclusion criteria (1). Children aged 6-12 years: Diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and typically developing (TD) children for Part 1 of the study; Or, children diagnosed with ADHD for Part 2 and Part 3 of the study; (2). No history of regular exercise habits (excluding physical education classes) within the past six months, defined as =80, as assessed by the Chinese version of the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children; (5). Voluntary participation, with informed consent obtained from the participant's parent or legal guardian.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 2. Exclusion criteria (1). Comorbidity of other neurodevelopmental or psychiatric disorders (e.g., Autism Spectrum Disorder, Bipolar Disorder) in addition to Attention-Deficit/Hyperactive Disorder; (2). Anticipated adjustments to medication regimen during the intervention period; (3). Presence of severe medical conditions contraindicating physical exercise (e.g., congenital heart disease, severe asthma); (4). Overweight or obesity, defined as a Body Mass Index (BMI) exceeding the age-specific cut-off points according to the Body Mass Index Reference Norms for Screening Overweight and Obesity in Chinese Children and Adolescents (2–18 years).
