Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Confirmed diagnosis of herpes zoster-associated neuralgia (HZAN); 2.Conforming to the diagnostic criteria for diabetes mellitus (DM); 3.Complete clinical data were available, including blood glucose test results within 24 hours after admission and records of breakthrough pain episodes.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Presence of other severe diseases causing chronic pain (e.g., cancer, severe arthritis, lumbar disc herniation with radicular symptoms, etc.); 2.Complicated with severe cognitive impairment or mental illness, rendering the patient unable to accurately describe pain symptoms? 3.Severe deficiency of medical record data;

The strength of the association between blood glucose levels (HbA1c, FBG) within 24 hours of hospital admission and the occurrence of acute pain;
