Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria for patients: 1. Patients who meet the ESRD diagnostic criteria as stipulated in the "Clinical Practice Guidelines for Chronic Kidney Disease" and are dependent on MHD for life support; 2. Age >= 60 years old; 3. Regular hemodialysis sessions of 4 hours each, conducted 3 times per week, for a duration of >= 3 months; 4. Individuals with functional decline: score > 6 on the self-care ability scale for physical activities, or score > 8 on the instrumental activities of daily living scale; Inclusion criteria for caregivers: 1. Those who undertake the main caregiving tasks or spend the most time on caregiving, and do not receive any compensation; 2. Age >= 18 years old, caregiving duration >= 3 months; 3. Living with the patient and designated by the patient as the primary decision-maker for their main treatment.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patient exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with acute renal failure; 2. Patients with severe organ dysfunction or those with other malignant tumors; 3. Patients with mental disorders or those who have been taking antidepressant drugs for a long time; 4. Patients with severe visual or auditory impairments and communication disorders. Caregiver exclusion criteria: 1. Caregivers with employment relationships; 2. Patients with other serious diseases or organ dysfunction; 3. Patients with mental disorders or those who have been taking antidepressant drugs for a long time; 4. Patients with severe visual or auditory impairments and communication disorders.
