Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Age>=65 years; 2.Elective non-cardiac and non-neurosurgical surgery under general anesthesia; 3.Major surgery with an expected operative duration > 2 hours; 4.ASA physical status classification ? to ?;

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Use of other vasoactive drugs during surgery (e.g. norepinephrine, dopamine, epinephrine, etc.); 2.History of stroke, Parkinson's disease, or epilepsy; 3.Inability to communicate due to language barriers or severe hearing or visual impairment; 4.Depression, generalized anxiety disorder, or schizophrenia; 5.Severe cardiovascular disease with New York Heart Association (NYHA) functional class >= III; 6.Severe liver dysfunction with Child-Pugh class C liver function; 7.Severe renal insufficiency requiring preoperative renal replacement therapy; 8.Patients with alcoholism, psychological disorders, or non-compliance;
