Interventions

Accelerated iTBS group:Participants randomised to the intervention group will receive accelerated intermittent Theta Burst Stimulation (iTBS) by MagVenture MagPro X100 stimulator according to a struct
total 600 pulses per session). Intensity: 80% - 120% of the participant’s resting motor threshold, determined at baseline, in accordance with contemporary TMS safety guidelines. Session duration: 3 mi
immediate cessation criteria and an on-site emergency protocol will be in place for any emergent adverse events, including suspected seizure activity.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age over 18 or above Hong Kong residents; 2. Diagnosed of sedatives, hypnotic and anxiolytic dependence in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual – Fourth version (text revised) (DSM-IV-TR) / fifth version (DSM-V), or International Classification of Diseases – 10th (ICD-10) / 11th version (ICD-11) 3. Able to give written consent as recommended by the psychiatrist

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Being pregnant 2. Have a history of traumatic brain injury, seizures, or mania/hypomania 3. Have organic psychiatric disorder AND / OR learning disability 4. Have visual, language or communication difficulties 5. Have concomitant dependent to other abused substance
