Cerebral infarction

Interventions

Gold Standard:Head and neck CT angiography or digital subtraction angiography can directly visualize culprit vessel occlusion or stenosis. MRI-DWI can accurately identify cerebral infarction lesions.
Index test:CT ocular globe deviation angle: Quantitatively measured on axial non-contrast CT images as the angle between the long axis of bilateral lenses and the nasal midline structures.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Case Group (Acute Ischemic Stroke): 1.Age >= 18 years 2.Non-contrast head CT performed within 24 hours of symptom onset 3.Clinical presentation consistent with acute stroke (e.g., sudden hemiplegia, aphasia, gaze palsy) 4.Final diagnosis of acute ischemic stroke confirmed by DWI-MRI or clinical follow-up (TOAST classification unrestricted) 5.Pre-stroke modified Rankin Scale (mRS) score = 2 6.Written informed consent obtained from all participants Control Group 1 (Stroke Mimics): 1.Age >= 18 years 2.Non-contrast head CT performed within 24 hours of symptom onset 3.Clinical presentation consistent with acute stroke (e.g., sudden hemiplegia, aphasia, gaze palsy) 4.Final diagnosis of stroke mimic confirmed by DWI-MRI or clinical follow-up Control Group 2 (Healthy Controls): 1.Age >= 18 years 2.Asymptomatic individuals undergoing health screening with no intracranial abnormalities on non-contrast head CT 3.No history of stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Intracerebral hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage, or subdural hematoma 2. Residual gaze palsy due to prior stroke 3. History of orbital trauma/surgery, prosthetic eye, or severe cataract (lens indiscernible) 4. Inability to complete CT examination due to agitation or other causes
